Lake Horseshoe Amusement Park~Update 25: 01-15-10: On a Hiatus

After the fire in Animal park FD7 announced their second park: Lake Horseshoe Amusement Park. FD7 manager, Edward van Raemdonck said this:
Quote:
Memphis,TN
After Animal park we decided to do something else. Our next park won’t be a theme park but an amusement park which means it doesn’t have completely different areas. There will be two parts of the park that will look a bit different though. We’re going to build the park about 18 miles outside Memphis in Mississippi. Because the park is situated near a lake in the shape of a horseshoe we call our new park Lake Horseshoe Amusement Park. When the park opens we’ll have two coasters, one going up in the air, one staying near the ground. The parking lots will be mud. We’ll work on it to make a nice parking lot of it. We have to close one part of the parking lot at a time so we don’t have a day that we don’t operate.
Now I (David Wilson) work in the Lake Horseshoe Amusement Park as a tree keeper. That’s nice because I can post pics that other workers can’t see: I can go behind the fences to ‘take care of the trees’.
Now on to the pics!!!!!!!

When you walk from the parking lot to the entrance you walk near the temporary bus stops. They’ve hung up a big billboard with a preview of what you’ll see that day.

At this point the busses have to turn around so all the people can walk on a square and choose which entrance they want to choose.

The people where a bit confused of what to do because the saw me in my weird outfit.

This is a nice place for me to take a shot of the entrance. I just love those trees!

Let’s go inside the park. This is the locker rent, and the place to get some extra information and a wheelchair.

On the right side of this shot there is the gift shop. Between the gift shop and the locker rent they’ve hung up a big banner which they replace every time there is something news to announce or say.

Then the mainstreet splits up in two ways. One going to the left, one going to the right. They are separated by this restaurant.

They don’t know a name for it yet. When the people go home they can deliver a small paper with a name written on it to one of the workers. FD7 will pick one of those names.

This is the inside of the restaurant.

From both sides you can go inside the building, chose your meal and have a sit.

You can also have a sit on the backside of the restaurant. Then you have a really nice view over the lake.

The view over the lake. Look at all those trees!

As you can see the park is really disabled friendly.

This is a small energy producer.

It makes energy with its waterwheel.

A shot taken from the restaurant.

The next time I’ll show you some attractions!

I've never seen any stuff from you before, so I didn't know what to expect, but this really surprised me.

It's nice, there is a certain atmosphere in this park. Your restaurant is beautifull, so is your plaza too. However, one thing strikes me...the roof son the buildings in pic 4 and 7...it doesn't look so real as your roof end is limited by the wall, make sure a section of it goes over the wall, got me? I would use Shyguy's ones, as they look more realistic!

Thanks! My previous park was Animal park (for link, see in my sig). But that park was more to learn some things.

Ok your dutch... That's my mother tongue neither but let's try...Volgens mij zou jouw dak een beetje meer van het gebouw moeten uitsteken. (merkbaar in foto 7!) Het gebouw lijkt daarom echt onrealistisch. Daarnaast is jouw pretpark ongelooflijk mooi! Nu begrepen?

Yep, I get you. I thought about that too. I wish DasMatze had made some extended roof pieces.

Thanks! I've worked on this since June. But in June, July and October progress was really slow because of Animal Park in June/July and because of school in October.

Update 1:10-27-08

Hello everyone! Today I’ll go further with my round through Lake Horseshoe Amusement Park.

The first ride you see when you go to the left part of the park is Rock Hopper.

Rock Hopper is loved by small children, but adults love it too!

This is a yet-to-be-named shop.

The people can choose a name for this shop like with the restaurant in the mainstreet.

The shop is connected with this: The monument show. Every hour an entertainer comes up the podium to entertain the kids.

You can also buy something to eat or to drink while your watching the show. When the show isn’t playing you can get the food and drinks too.

Connected with the Monument show are some toilets. They don’t need much attention so I’ll move on to the horses:

Here you can watch the horses jumping and playing around. The oldest horse is Preston. He is the icon of the park. He’s really important to the park. I don’t care about him, it’s just a horse.

In the middle of these buildings I’ve showed you is a small eatery dug into the ground.

I don’t know why they’ve placed this but it certainly looks nice.

The water tower that is hidden behind the trees. It’s just scenery.

Another place to buy some food and drinks.

I don’t think you’ll die in this park because of the hunger.

See you soon!!!!

That one is from Lulujarre's America Western set. I can't find a working link though.

I still have nothing to criticize, but why are the pics so dark? How about making them more bright; it would be more appealing.

Thanks. When I lighten up the pics a bit the light-brown side walks (and everthing that's light-brown) becomes white. I might stop the editing when I showed you all the pics I have right now.

Thanks! Not the whole park is westernish, only this part.
-------------------------------------------------

Update 2: 11-01-08

Hello everyone! Today I’ll show you the rest of the westernish-themed part of the park.

When you need some rest you can go on Preston’s Rowboats. You can also eat your home-brought food in the rowboats. The ride is named after the most important horse of the park: Preston.

The walkway. On the left there are: Preston’s Rowboats and Rock Hopper.

When you’re walking you can come across some lazy people just lying there on the path.

The other side.

A small square in a corner of the park. Across the square are some toilets. Today they were closed, the toilets themselves weren’t fabricated yet.

On the right side of the square is TNT. TNT is one of the main thrill rides of the park.

It also has a proper queue. In all those boxes are loads of TNT.

On the left side of the square there is Lasso.

Lasso is just a small, ferris wheel. Lasso is really loved by the kids!

Finally, my favourite restaurant: Barry’s olde Barn.

Barry’s olde Barn has got a nice sitting area outdoors.

You can really relax here when you’re eating your delicious food, for those who find burgers and fries delicious…

In the past this was a farm building. It nearly collapsed when FD7 came around the corner.

Here you can order your food. It’s just basic fastfood.

Barry’s olde Barn has also got a indoor sitting area on both sides of the ordering area.

See ya soon!

Haha, what's up with the seahorse fountain in the middle of a western themed area? That looks a little weird. The rest is really nice, though.
