Vodhin's Great Racers - Hannibal Twin 8 CTR - BETA Release Available
BETA Download Available Here Most of you know about this new CTR, something that I started working on while trying to figure out Chitty. It is the Hannibal 8 car from the movie "The Great Race" Well, I've decided to finish up the animation sequences and give it a test run in game - mainly to see if it would succumb to the same "Mysterious Extra Car" problem that Chitty is currently suffering from. It almost did: The second version (top down) did have the extra car, but that may have been because I hadn't actually run the new version through the CTR creator- I had inadvertantly run the old one. Lucky for us that the new versions came out sparkling clean with no mysterious problems. This CTR will be released as a BETA version, just the Hannibal Twin 8 as it is right now: fully animated lifting action, wheels, doors, and a few other animated fine details. This BETA release is NOT optomized for all computers- this is the high detail model which is not recommended for lower spec computers and could lead to problems. Use it at your own risk, immediately stop using it if you notice graphics card problems. I do plan on completing the multi-LOD version for the final release, with built in detail scaling for various computer set-ups, but that will not be for a while yet. I also plan on making a couple of other cars from that movie to compliment this one, maybe even make a CTR ride based on Professor Fate's bat-Wing airplane, too. Oh! This is great Vodhin. The title especially pleases me, it hints at perhaps some more "The Great Race" CTRs.

Ha...I KNOW this isn't even closely related, but when I see that car, I can't help but think "Wacky Races." Looks great, as usual, Vodhin. This will be a welcomed addition to your already lengthy list of amazing creations.

^I think the Wacky Racers sprung from that movie, and it might be neat to make cars from that show.

Beta release available in first post. It is the high polygon version of this ride. It will be a while before I can release the final version with all LODs in place. For that reason, enjoy this for now, but I do not recommend using this on lower spec computers.
