Heh, as a 56k users you need to learn how to master the art of download calculators

At 56k 10 Hours, 16 Min, 39 Seconds

Why would you want to be a dedicated server on a 56k anyways?

huh?

Have I missed something, or am I correct in noting that there is no PATCH 2199 for the freely downloaded dedicated servers? There is a full 2199 ded server at that link, there is a PATCH for the retail, but no PATCH for the free ded server.

No, I didn't mean it like that! I meant it kinda sarcastically, meaning it takes forever to get big files like that on 56k, and I just downloaded 250MB, to find out that I now have to download another 250MB!

By the way, any news on the Bonus Pack?

Cant we just update our current servers to 2199?
Why this rush to download 2199 ded ?
Just download the patch 2199, extract all files to c:\temp, and replace the files on your ut2003ded with those from c:\temp; is that so hard; just replace those files, and you're set with 2199

P.S: I just saw it on the News bar on my UT2003 : All servers under 2199 wont be listed by the Masterserver from next week; better hurry it up with those updates, admins !
Dedicated or patch !
Dedicated has ~247 MB
Retail Patch has ~12,5 MB
Think Hard, admins !

I installed the 2199 patch on my dedicated server under Windows 2000. My server was set to play just BR-Skyline before. Now it plays BR-Skyline first, then just loops Anibus.

Double-checked all the ini files and can't tell why. Maybe the 2199 patch doesn't work that well on servers?

We need UT2003 installers

If you are interested in a job with CSadmins for installing UT2003 dedicated servers on dedicated IPs, we are now hiring. If you can setup a UT2003 server and point it to a certain IP using the dedicated server files then we have a job for you. Please email flawless@csadmins.com if you are interested.

Thanks
CSadmins

I downloaded the file to be able to run your own server and have got my own CD key. I was wondering what do you have to do to get it running. I'm not that familiar with it and wanted to get some feedback from some other people. Thanks for the help

I downloaded the newest Linux version of the dedicated server (ut2003-lnxded-2225.tar.tar) and extracted it. Now what? there are no install or admin instructions anywhere. Can someone help me please?

I can't untar the dedicated server tar

Please help!!!

Sorry but I can't untar the file.
This is the error:

[root@RS25S8 dedicated server]# tar -xvf ut2003-lnxded-2225.tar.tar
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Can anybody tell me how untar it? I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong.

Thanks!

bLEX.

I frend give me the solution...

This is it:

1) rename ut2003-lnxded-2225.tar.tar to ut2003-lnxded-2225.tar.BZ2 (how do I could possibly know this?? )

2) tar -xjvf ut2003-lnxded-2225.tar.BZ2

So ATARI guys: please rename it from the begining to .tar.BZ2 and fix the .tar.tar problem.

Regards,

bLEX.
