Act of War: High Treason Beta Accepting Signups!

Hello Everyone,
Atari and Eugen Systems are please to announce a closed public beta test for the upcoming Act of War: High Treason expansion. The highlight of this first expansion pack for Act of War: Direct Action is a major new feature – it’s the first RTS game ever to feature modern naval combat! In addition, several major and minor additions and adjustments have been made to improve and simplify the experience of the original game, such as new units, upgrades, and streamlined interface mechanics. The purpose of this public beta is to get your feedback on tuning and balancing, but also to help us with hardware compatibility as well as general functionality testing. Remember that if you are selected for the beta you will be under a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA) which means you cannot discuss the product outside of our dedicated private beta forum. Note that you will probably be playing in a separate area online which means that while you’re in the beta you will not be able to play online in the area you do now with other owners of Act of War: Direct Action. Please see below for details on the minimum requirements and how to sign up today!

Minimum specs:
· CPU: 2 GHz or equivalent
· RAM: 1 GB
· HDD free space: 6 GB
· Video Card: 128 MB VRAM, pixel shader 2.0 support
· Network: ADSL or better

Our planned launch date for the beta is around the 15th of December. At the present time we are without our www.betatests.net site so signups are being handled differently for this beta. Visit the following URL and fill in all information to Signup
If you did not previously have a betatests.net username simply place what you would like in the required field. If you have any questions feel free to email betatestadmin@atari.com
So gear up everyone, keep the B-1’s on standby, all ships on high alert, and signup for what’s sure to be (with your participation) the best beta test this winter!

Best Regards,
Betatest Administrator
Atari, Inc. and Eugen Systems

Note: If no modifications are made to this announcement and you have a site you would like to host it on please feel free to republish

Hehe, I love the rootsite that the beta signup form is being hosted on. Very cool. I'm so glad to see that signups are open, I hope I make it in! I've been testing things for Atari for a bit now, and hope to continue the journey.

Cool, we need to keep up the PR and get the word out there.
Such a good game should be known by everyone.

i would wait until we see how many of those signed up and will eb selected will be also active...

generally 4000hits is low for a game like this, but comparing there was advertisement almost pretty good

It appears the original Act of War: Direct Action is no longer a min. spec requirement.

Follks, our email server is still down It looks like we just got your build, which is a bit late but I can probably still launch the beta before the holiday for us hits starting Saturday. However, without email it's not possible

I am trying to think of some solutions here, I will advise later what I come up with.

How about you setup a free email account like gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc and we can email our info to you there? Will that work? Hopefully your email system will come up soon, but the free email is an idea for a workaround. Hope to see you in the beta. Thanks.

And right about now is where excitement turns, once again, to dissappointment !!

Holidays ??

What is this "H-o-l-i-d-a-y-s" you speak of ??

Did you not know that xmas has been cancelled ??

Santa lost his Naughty list, so now all the good little boys and girls have to suffer with the bad little boys and girls, and not get what they wanted for xmas.......

.............ACT OF WAR : HIGH TREASON BETA !!

Email is back up but there is a new technical issue. I'm working hard, but this looks like it will slip. It's the holidays fault

I sent mine weeks ago. Did it get to BTA?

Also, how will I know whether or not I got accepted for the beta test? I know if I do get accepted I will get an email, but what happens if I don't? Will I be left on the edge of my seat until the game goes gold???
